Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility, hereafter referred to as CSR, is a much discussed topic these days. It is a form of business operation that is focused on economic performance while respecting society and the environment. It is about balancing people, planet and profit. Alpha International does its business with customers, employees and other partners responsibly. In doing so, Alpha International strives to operate in an economically healthy manner in balance with ethical and social considerations, with care for the environment and in the interests of all employees and stakeholders.
Alpha International implements a sustainability policy which looks critically at both the organisation itself as well as at our suppliers and carriers. Alpha International's sustainability policy is focused on the three areas below.
1. Human relations
- Alpha International puts the customer first and strives for long-term lasting relationships with customers and suppliers;
- Alpha International guarantees the health and safety of its employees;
- Alpha International stimulates the growth, development and employability of its employees.
2. Environment
- Alpha International sells products that meet all environmental laws and regulations;
- Alpha International is a participant in the SITA Green Label Standard energy project whereby all CO2 emissions are neutralised;
- Alpha International is careful about purchasing environmentally friendly packaging materials;
- Alpha International reduces its waste by minimising general waste, separating waste and recycling it.
3. Society
- Alpha International seeks active cooperation with schools and is a recognised work placement company;
- Alpha International offers hard-to-employ people the opportunity to work (social return).
