E-ordering

Alpha International has developed a number of services which can help you to further streamline your processes as well as ours to improve efficiency. One such service is e-ordering.

What is e-ordering?
E-ordering was developed to optimise existing communication flows relating to orders. The traditional order process involves extensive internal and external paper flows, order response, packing notes and invoices. Thanks to the e-ordering process, these internal and external paper flows will now be replaced by electronic documents.

What does e-ordering involve?
Alpha International offers you two convenient options for e-ordering:
1. Ordering your products from the webshop on the Alpha International website; or
2. Simply entering your order into your own system, referencing your product numbers. Your order wil be interfaces to Alpha International via a direct link.

What are the benefits of e-ordering for you?
The e-ordering options that Alpha International offers can save you a great deal of time in the order process: you just submit your order using one of the above methods and we do the rest!

The e-ordering process also saves time for your sales team at Alpha International: the less time we need to spend manually inputting your orders, the more time we have available to respond to your personal wants, needs and wishes!

 How does e-ordering work?

1.Via the website
When you place your order via our webshop, the e-ordering process is very simple: you enter your orders as usual, adding a different shipping address if you wish to use drop shipment and then click ’Place Order’. As soon as your account manager finishes processing your order, you will receive an electronic order confirmation and your order is complete.

2.Via a XML link
If you place at least 50 order lines with us every month, you will also have the option to use an XML link to place e-orders. Your order is then placed in an XML file and this XML document is exchanged by e-mail. The subsequent order confirmation, packing note and invoice are then also sent electronically.

The set-up process for the XML link can be carried out in four easy steps:
1. Download the technical documentation.
2. Create the XML files.
3. Validate the XML files with the XML validator on the Alpha International website.
4. Contact your account manager so that we can monitor your first e-order.
